Cape Rienga

Cape Rienga, New Zealand – 2017. Cape Rienga (Te Rerenga Wairua) is the north-western tip of the North Island of New Zealand. It is where the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea meet and it is a sacred place for the Maoris. On our drive up to Cape Rienga we drove along a small part of Ninety Mile Beach, saw the giant sand dunes at Te Paki Stream and stopped for lunch at Houhora Harbour. It was a long day’s drive from Paihia and back but well worth it.
